Business Analyst

About the role

The Business Analyst position at Finys is seeking an individual with a strong background in critical thinking, problem-solving, and industry knowledge. This role involves managing business requirements, optimizing company functions, and supporting user acceptance testing.

Responsibilities

• Gather, define, and manage business requirements to ensure project objectives are met
• Analyze and interpret complex data to recommend optimizations using industry knowledge
• Configure requirements using Finys proprietary software for business users
• Maintain knowledge of all aspects of the Finys suite to support product delivery
• Create and manage process models, and collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new clients, ensuring the software meets their specific requirements and expectations
• Provide ongoing client support

Requirements

• Proficiency in managing multiple critical deliverables simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced spreadsheet software skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Proven experience in insurance and underwriting business systems
• Highly motivated to learn, deliver, and take initiative to grow abilities and contributions
• An undergraduate degree with a concentration in finance, accounting, data analytics, business administration, or IT
• Expertise in creating and managing process models
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks and practices (preferred)
• Understanding of database concepts and experience with database systems (preferred)
• Familiarity with SDLC processes and methodologies (preferred)
