Mechanical Engineer (Onsite - Huntley, IL)

About the role
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the application, design, testing, and continuous improvement of our industry-leading linear motion and mechatronic products. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in mechanical design, automation, product development, and customer applications while working alongside experienced engineers.
Responsibilities
- Support customer, distributor, and sales inquiries related to HIWIN products
- Assist with product selection, quotations, and engineering calculations
- Contribute to the design and testing of custom motion control solutions
- Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation using SolidWorks
- Participate in prototype development, product testing, and performance analysis
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams on product improvements and new product introductions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- 0-2 years of engineering experience, including internships, co-ops, or academic projects
- Foundational understanding of mechanical systems, machine design, manufacturing processes, and engineering calculations
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills with a willingness to learn in a hands-on environment

Schedule
Must be able to work onsite Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm in Huntley, IL.
