Mechanical Engineer (Springfield, IL)

About the role

The role is reporting to the Director of Engineering and involves working with a multidisciplinary team on the design, integration, and implementation of major tailor-made mechanical equipment to the strictest specifications of our customers.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design of equipment (mechanisms, structures, ergonomics, machine safety)
• 3D modeling
• Calculations and sizing of structures and mechanisms
• Selection of commercial components with specifications / technical specifications
• Development of technical documents

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the design of structures or mechanically welded assemblies
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Knowledge of ASME standards for design and fabrication
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Good knowledge of Autocad and Inventor software (an asset)
• Knowledge of STAAD, ANSYS, MATHCAD, S-FRAME software (an asset)
• Motivated, dynamic, creative, and team player

Qualifications
