Mechanical Engineer - Mid-Career

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
• 4-7 years of experience in MEP engineering
• Strong technical skills and willingness to develop project management abilities
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of federal and state codes governing MEP design

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical Systems: Assist in the development of flow diagrams for mechanical systems, perform heat load and static pressure calculations, support in sizing equipment and ductwork to meet project specifications, and ensure designs meet industry standards.
• Electrical Systems: Assist in designing basic one-line risers, specify fire alarm devices, contribute to lighting and control plans, and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Plumbing Systems: Assist in selecting fixtures and components, contribute to pipe sizing and routing for sanitary, storm, gas, and domestic systems, and ensure systems have proper venting and service sizing.
• Fire Protection: Support in designing risers and planning sprinkler head locations for projects.
