About the role
This role provides immense opportunities to learn and strengthen skills, lead, and mentor others with the development and design of projects for ISG’s Food + Industrial, K12, and Commercial Business Units.
Responsibilities
- Design, specification and analysis of mechanical systems for buildings, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other internal teams to integrate mechanical systems into building designs
- Perform calculations, simulations, and modeling to ensure system efficiency, safety, and compliance with codes and standards
- Plan, produce, and quality control design and documentation
- Be responsible for production of construction documents and administration for projects
- Evaluate existing mechanical and plumbing systems
- Prepare and present reports to clients
- Develop and manage projects
- Coordinate with design and drafting staff for production deadlines and quality assurance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of professional HVAC and Plumbing design experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to be licensed
- Strong communication, report writing, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of the design standards and codes for vertical infrastructure design
- A high level of technical and organizational skill accompanied by strong oral and written communication
- Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams
- Working knowledge of software (AutoCAD MEP, Trane Trace, BlueBeam, Speclink, Microsoft Office), Revit MEP, preferred
