Mechanical Engineer

Core Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate bids and manage contracts for all tagged Mechanical Equipment on the Project.
• Prepare Mechanical specifications and design criteria for mechanical data sheets.
• Develop recommendations for equipment and materials selection with supportive material.
• Collect, assimilate, and manage data for mechanical engineering work.
• Prepare engineering calculations following standard methods and principles.
• Resolve mechanical problems with clients.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of formal training and experience in heavy industrial design.
• Bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited engineering school.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred but not required.
• Previous relevant EPC company experience.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering and design, including familiarity with applicable Codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with various engineering disciplines and clients.
• Proven track record of accomplishment as a design engineer on industrial projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish respect and credibility through actions, communications, understanding, and personal presence.

Physical Requirements

• Sit for long periods of time.
• Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects.

Environment

• Remote and onsite work.
• Visits to job sites may be required on occasion as needed.
