Core Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate bids and manage contracts for all tagged Mechanical Equipment on the Project.
- Prepare Mechanical specifications and design criteria for mechanical data sheets.
- Develop recommendations for equipment and materials selection with supportive material.
- Collect, assimilate, and manage data for mechanical engineering work.
- Prepare engineering calculations following standard methods and principles.
- Resolve mechanical problems with clients.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years of formal training and experience in heavy industrial design.
- Bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited engineering school.
- Licensed Professional Engineer preferred but not required.
- Previous relevant EPC company experience.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering and design, including familiarity with applicable Codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with various engineering disciplines and clients.
- Proven track record of accomplishment as a design engineer on industrial projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish respect and credibility through actions, communications, understanding, and personal presence.
Physical Requirements
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects.
Environment
- Remote and onsite work.
- Visits to job sites may be required on occasion as needed.
