Responsibilities
- Technical guidance and quality oversight, including code review, of all project work involving mechanical engineering.
- Technical training and development of staff.
- Establishing and improving standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications for mechanical discipline area.
- Engineer of Record.
- Provide 'on-the-spot' advice and decisions - technical and cost estimates.
- Cordination with all of the disciplines involved, including outside consultants.
- Technical interface with code officials and contractors.
Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity (example through Comity) within the State in which the position is posted within six (6) months.
- Accomplished Mechanical Engineer with 4+ years of progressive technical experience in the design of mechanical systems for healthcare projects.
- Experience should include technical oversight of multiple projects with proven success, providing technical oversight on projects that meet contract specifications and technical standards to the client on time and within budget.
- Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Well organized, takes good notes.
