Mechanical Engineer

About the role

ASRC Gulf States Constructors, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to support their program at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing systems and as-built drawings to determine best design solutions to repair or replace systems
• Design construction documents as the primary mechanical engineer
• Collaborate with an experienced multi-discipline team of architects and engineers
• Mentor junior engineering staff
• Work with a team of energy control technicians
• Serve as the installation’s Certified Energy Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• 5+ years of experience designing Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems for common, commercial-type and industrial facilities
• Responsible engineer in charge for stamping plans and preparation of project specifications
• Must be a U.S. citizen to meet government contract requirements
• Proficiency with computer assisted drafting software
• Proficiency with design computations for sizing mechanical systems

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering Licensure in the State of Oklahoma, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of employment start date
• Experience with REVIT CAD software (on the job training provided)
• Understanding of energy management (on the job training provided)
• Experience with federal government design projects (on the job training provided)
• Experience with cost estimating (on the job training provided)

• Knowledge of HVAC systems and energy management principles

The salary offered will depend on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity, business needs, and other factors permitted by law.
