Mechanical Engineer
Position
The Support Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with engineers and manufacturing teams, guiding production line layouts, functional tests, and quality checks. Your work will ensure that every product meets the highest standards of manufacturability and quality, while continuously improving design and process efficiency.
Responsibilities
Lead Product Introduction: Own the introduction of new mechanical components into production, ensuring seamless transitions from prototype to volume manufacturing.
Optimize Manufacturing: Work with manufacturing teams to define assembly order and process for efficient production line layouts.
Drive Design Excellence: Coordinate design for manufacturability reviews with suppliers, and organize implementation status to guarantee robust, scalable solutions.
Innovate Testing: Design functional test equipment and create comprehensive test plans to achieve product testing objectives.
Solve Problems: Diagnose and resolve manufacturing and quality issues for parts and assemblies in production, ensuring reliability and performance.
Engineer Documentation: Prepare or revise drawings of mechanical parts, wiring harnesses, and schematics derived from specifications and product requirements.
Collaborate & Build: Coordinate and participate in the assembly of early production units, supporting cross-functional teams for new product introduction.
Validate & Improve: Perform mechanical integrity testing on prototypes, support third-party compliance testing, and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution
5+ years in electronics manufacturing, with a track record of successfully launching products from concept to full-scale production
Demonstrated expertise in transitioning designs into volume production using sheet metal, extrusion, and injection molding processes
Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD design and a deep understanding of ASME Y14.5 standards
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
