Exciting news! We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Department.
Working Schedule
Monday - Friday | 8AM - 5PM
Pay
$66,490 - $74,672
Responsibilities
- Designs mechanical systems for environmental test chambers.
- Designs sheet metal parts, builds assemblies, and creates associated drawings using engineering best practices.
- Designs and releases a basic custom modification to a standard ENA chamber model.
- Understands Bill of Material structures and basic ERP function.
- Understands and uses the ENA problem-solving process.
- Follows engineering group procedures and ISO standards.
- Understands design for manufacturing & assembly, within the limitations of our manufacturing facility.
- Works under supervision.
- Regular, physical attendance is required.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Engineering or current enrollment in an Engineering degree program required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the production shop.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency with Inventor/Autocad in the following areas:
- Making changes (model/drawing) to an existing part
- Basic parts modeling
- Basic assembly models
- Basic Sheet metal parts
- Create flats
- Sheet metal drawings
- Part drawings
- Assembly drawings
- Concept Drawings
Physical Demands
- The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment
- The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts (while out in the production shop).
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
