Mechanical Design Engineer - Chassis

About the role

We are seeking a skilled technical leader to oversee the Powersports design function, guiding engineering output, supervising team execution, and ensuring high-quality specifications and designs. This role combines technical expertise with organizational leadership to achieve product development goals, uphold global quality standards, and enhance engineering capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve engineering deliverables, ensuring accuracy and alignment with targets.
• Lead troubleshooting for development and production issues through root cause analysis and risk mitigation.
• Supervise and contribute within a design team across multiple projects, managing workload and priorities.
• Mentor and coach team members to develop skills and maintain consistent quality.
• Facilitate communication within the department and with external stakeholders, including management and suppliers.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and best practices in engineering methods.
• Lead hiring, performance evaluations, and workforce planning to build a capable team.
• Support project scheduling, product development timelines, and organizational goals.

Qualifications

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related) or equivalent experience, with at least 8+ years in relevant fields, including 2+ years in leadership roles.

Working Conditions
