Mechanical Design Engineer - Chassis

About the role

We are seeking a technical leader to oversee a Powersports design team, guiding engineering output, supervising project execution, and ensuring high-quality specifications and designs. This role combines technical expertise with organizational leadership to support product development, uphold global quality standards, and enhance engineering capabilities.

Working conditions: Some travel, primarily desk work, and potential exposure to typical office and shop hazards. Overtime may be required based on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving engineering deliverables to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Leading root cause analysis and problem-solving for development and production issues.
• Managing and mentoring team members, assigning workloads, and fostering professional growth.
• Facilitating effective communication across departments and with external partners.
• Driving process improvements and standardization of engineering methods.
• Participating in hiring, performance evaluations, and workforce planning.
• Supporting project schedules and contributing to management activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of 8+ years in related industries, with at least 2+ years in supervisory roles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Technical proficiency in FTA, FMEA, CAD, CAE, and product development processes.
• Ability to operate with confidentiality and manage multiple priorities effectively.
