Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Create and revise detailed 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Maintain and update Bill of Materials (BOM) for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers on the design of power products.
  • Support additional design and documentation tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

  • At least three years of industry experience in 3D modeling in a drafting capacity for manufacturing shops.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD; SolidWorks experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in automated industrial equipment or metal enclosures drafting or design.
  • Ability to create or edit parts and assembly drawings for manufacturing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience drafting for power products such as low voltage switchboards, switchgears, UPSs, and static switches.
  • Certified Manufacturer Technical Representative (MTR) is a plus.

Work Environment

  • The work environment is an office setting.
  • Initially, work hours are from 8am-5pm for the first couple of weeks.
  • A mutual start time will be agreed upon with the supervisor, likely between 6am-8:30am.
  • Lunch is one hour.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay And Benefits

  • The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $48.00/hr.
  • Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
