Mechanical Build Technician

About the role

The Mechanical Build Technician helps create, maintain, and repair mechanical components and equipment. They work with other technicians or engineers to keep machinery and specialty equipment running correctly.

Responsibilities

• Assembles components according to assembly drawings, engineering memos, sketches, and knowledge of machine construction.
• Constructs, rebuilds, and repairs machines and equipment.
• Maintains and improves facility requirements, including installation of equipment.
• Knowledgeable with pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic integration.
• Works closely with engineers and general contractors.
• Travels as required.
• Participates in ISO training and audits.
• Performs any other assignments as deemed appropriate.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required; a Technical degree is a plus.
• 2–3 years of hands-on mechanical experience working on a plant floor is preferred.
