About the role
The Mechanical Build Technician helps create, maintain, and repair mechanical components and equipment. They work with other technicians or engineers to keep machinery and specialty equipment running correctly.
Responsibilities
- Assembles components according to assembly drawings, engineering memos, sketches, and knowledge of machine construction.
- Constructs, rebuilds, and repairs machines and equipment.
- Maintains and improves facility requirements, including installation of equipment.
- Knowledgeable with pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic integration.
- Works closely with engineers and general contractors.
- Travels as required.
- Participates in ISO training and audits.
- Performs any other assignments as deemed appropriate.

- Quality: Ensures all technical work adheres to quality standards.
- Standards: Assists the team to standardize best practices for creating, repairing, and replacing work.
- Rework: Eliminates rework after job completion by ensuring work is completed per scope and standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is required; a Technical degree is a plus.
- 2–3 years of hands-on mechanical experience working on a plant floor is preferred.

- Ability to identify and implement efficient paths of action to finish assigned work.
- Ability to test, calibrate, diagnose, and repair various devices.
- Must be able to read and follow blueprints.
- Must communicate clearly, articulately, and professionally.

- Ability to interact positively and constructively with all team members while representing the company professionally.
