Responsibilities
- Contribute to the effectiveness of operating systems and product quality.
- Avoid mechanical failures and perform maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
- Modify, replace, and repair parts and components as needed to ensure plant safety and efficiency.
- Enter work orders into computer systems, monitor required work, and manage parts inventory.
- Carry out expert upkeep and repairs on various mechanical and physical structures.
- Examine procedures for relevance and evaluate engineering equipment.
- Examine mechanical equipment for potential problems and participate in process improvement efforts.
- Recommend improvements and make mechanical adjustments.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to enhance output and technology.
- Perform or assist with operations to maintain workflow and meet schedules and quality requirements.
- Inform management of unusual equipment or operational issues and material supply needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols and equipment operating instructions.
Requirements
- An associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school, or a high school diploma and at least five (5) years of related experience.
- Excellent communication, analytical, documentation, and computer skills.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience in welding and machining is preferred.
