About the role
The Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit at Siemens offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders, including mechanical assembly of steel components.
- Record job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.
- Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
- Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
Requirements
- Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
- Experience using standard hand and power tools (pneumatic and battery-operated), including accurate measurement and application of torque using torque wrenches and measuring devices.
- Able to Identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
- Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- SAP experience.
- Salesforce experience.
- Proven record in Quality and Productivity.
- Customer focus and a quality mindset.
- Able to Identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
Qualifications
- Mechanical Assembler I: 1+ year of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
- Mechanical Assembler II: 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field. 1+ years of experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated.
- Mechanical Assembler III: 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field. 3+ years of experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated.
Skills
- Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- SAP experience.
- Salesforce experience.
- Proven record in Quality and Productivity.
- Customer focus and a quality mindset.
- Able to Identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
Benefits
- Shift Differential: $1.50 per hour.
Pay
- Level I: $19.00
- Level II: $20.36
- Level III: $22.46
Schedule
Shift Hours: 3:00PM - 11:30PM
Location
This position will be based in Knightdale NC.
Training
You will train at our Wendell, NC facility for the first month before moving over to the Knightdale location.
