About the role

The Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit at Siemens offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sub-assembly and final assembly wiring with high accuracy and workmanship, including proper stripping and crimping techniques.
  • Work with large power cables, ensuring correct crimping methods, and assemble components on panels per layouts or drawings.
  • Record job transactions, read Bill of Materials (BOMs), follow layouts and assembly drawings.
  • Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
  • Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Requirements

  • Electrical Assembler I: 1+ year of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field. 1+ years’ experience with commercial or industry wiring. Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking. Basic proficiency in reading and working with schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists with minimal supervision. Experience using standard hand and power tools, including pneumatic and battery-operated tools, wiring tools, and accurately reading a tape measure.
  • Electrical Assembler II: 1+ year of experience in electrical product assembly or a related assembly. 2+ years’ experience with commercial or industry wiring. 2+ years of experience using standard hand and power tools, including pneumatic and battery-operated tools, wiring tools, and accurately reading a tape measure. Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking. Basic proficiency in reading and working with schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists with minimal supervision.
  • Electrical Assembler III: 2+ years of experience in Electrical assembly or a related electrical products assembly field. 5+ years’ experience with commercial or industry wiring. 2+ years of experience using standard hand and power tools, including pneumatic and battery-operated tools, wiring tools, and accurately reading a tape measure. Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking. Basic proficiency in reading and working with schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists with minimal supervision. Experience working with SAP and Salesforce. Ability to train others and exhibits leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Possess some knowledge on electrical clearances. High School Diploma or Associate’s degree or technical training in area of responsibility. Proven record in Quality and Productivity.

  • Shift Differential: $1.50

Pay

  • Level I: $20.36
  • Level II: $22.46
  • Level III: $24.79

Schedule

  • Shift Hours: 3:00PM - 11:30PM
