About the role

Troubleshoot mechanical problems in an efficient and safe manner throughout the facility. This position focuses on preventative and mechanical maintenance and requires basic knowledge of machine repair.

Responsibilities

• Complete mechanical repairs and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all assigned machinery and successfully troubleshoot mechanical problems.
• Complete welding and fabrication tasks with minimal direction.
• Enter data into the maintenance system accurately and on time.
• Perform basic electrical tasks to ensure safe maintenance work.

Requirements

• 5 years’ experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with industrial PLCs (Allen Bradley is a strong plus).
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing.
• Basic mechanical, welding, and cutting skills.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
• Minimal electrical knowledge, including meter usage and basic measurements.
• 1 year of plant experience.
• May require CPR and first aid training.
• Training in lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, and confined spaces.
• Complete knowledge of standard operating procedures.
• 2 years of industrial maintenance experience (required).
• Ability to commute to Taylor, MI 48180 (required).
• Ability to relocate to Taylor, MI 48180 before starting work (required).

Pay

• Starting pay: $32.00/hour and up, based on experience.
• Shift differential: $1.50/hour for second shift, $1.00/hour for third shift.
• $1,500 on first paycheck.

Schedule

10 days on, 4 days off.
