MECHANIC II (FULL TIME)

About the role

Canteen is hiring a full-time MECHANIC II position immediately. Located at Canteen - 26 Upton Drive, Wilmington, MA 01887. Online applications only. Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Fixed pay rate: $28.00 per hour. Internal employee referral bonus available.

Qualifications

• Type I Refrigeration Certification
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service by attending to details
• Responds to dispatch calls for machine and equipment repairs
• Visits existing customers to assess service adequacy; resolves service complaints
• Inspects machines and equipment to identify malfunction causes; disassembles machines to gain access to problem areas
• Inspects parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other issues; removes and replaces worn or defective parts; repairs broken parts; realigns and adjusts components; tests machine operation after repair
• Reviews inventory and orders parts; ships and receives machines; maintains equipment inventory
• Sets up and operates mechanical equipment and small hand tools for machine and equipment repair
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment; performs job safely
• Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others
• Performs other duties as assigned
