Key Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot gas and diesel engine issues.
- Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on gas and diesel engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize gas and diesel engine performance.
- Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for gas and diesel engines.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on gas and diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience as a Gas and Light Diesel Mechanic.
- ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided.
- Mechanic’s Tool Set.
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions.
- Stand for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day).
- Frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday.
- Lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to file or equipment stored at ground level.
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
- Tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
