Mechanic - 3rd Shift

About the role

A skilled Shop Mechanic II is needed to perform comprehensive trailer and refrigeration power unit repairs and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs on trailers and refrigeration units without supervision.
• Diagnose issues and replace parts such as clutches, water pumps, tires, and drive lines.
• Perform engine tune-ups, front and trailer axle alignments, and troubleshoot cooling systems.
• Read technical manuals, maintain shop tools, and complete documentation accurately.
• Work independently and collaboratively while adhering to safety and company policies.
• Operate equipment and participate in on-call and road calls as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; trade school in diesel or refrigeration preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in diesel repairs, fleet maintenance, or refrigeration.
• Own tools for repairs.
• ASE certification and valid Class C driver’s license (Class A preferred).
• Certifications in engine, refrigeration, brake systems, and electrical diagnostics are desirable.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Flexibility for on-call duties.
• Must maintain required certifications.
