Meat Wrapper

Position Summary

Cardenas Markets is seeking a retail store Meat Wrapper to join our team. Under direct supervision, the Meat Wrapper specializes in preparing, cutting, processing, and wrapping meats, maintaining cleanliness within the work area, filling product displays, checking dates to rotate products, and providing exceptional customer service.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Work professionally as part of the team and provide excellent customer service;
• Utilize machines to wrap, seal and label meats, poultry, and seafood;
• Clean and cut meat as needed;
• Restock and organize displays to ensure they are clean and organized;
• Maintain safety and health guidelines;
• Assist Meat Cutter and Meat Clerk.

Skills And Qualifications

• Valid Food Handlers Card;
• Prior food preparer experience at a grocery store required;
• Must be friendly and people oriented;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands And Work Conditions

• WALKING: Continuously, throughout the shift, while moving about the store and obtaining product;
• STANDING: Continuously, throughout the shift;
• LIFTING: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.

Pay

The pay scale for this position is $20.20 to $23.01 per hour.
