About the role
Cardenas Markets is seeking a retail store Meat Wrapper to join our team. Under direct supervision, the Meat Wrapper specializes in preparing, cutting, processing, and wrapping meats, maintains cleanliness within the work area, fills product displays, checks dates to rotate products, and provides exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Work professionally as part of the team and provide excellent customer service
- Utilize machines to wrap, seal, and label meats, poultry, and seafood
- Clean and cut meat as needed
- Restock and organize displays to ensure they are clean and organized
- Maintain safety and health guidelines
- Assist Meat Cutter and Meat Clerk
Requirements
- Valid Food Handlers Card
- Prior food preparer experience at a grocery store required
- Must be friendly and people oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Demands

- Walking: Continuously, throughout the shift, while moving about the store and obtaining product
- Standing: Continuously, throughout the shift
- Lifting: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs
Pay
Pay range: $17.90 to $20.45 per hour. Within this range, individual pay is determined by factors including, but not limited to, specific skills, relevant work experience, and relevant education and/or training.
