Meat Utility

About the Role

Duties vary within production and include, but are not limited to, opening meat, de-boxing, carrying boxes, moving product through the production area, manual transfer of meat, moving equipment, making boxes, and possible operation of basic processing equipment. May also include some basic sanitation duties.

Physical Demands and Working Environment

• Heavy lifting activities
• Standing, walking, and reaching are regular activities
• Ability to touch, feel, manipulate fingers and limbs to operate various processing and material handling equipment
• Ability to smell is required to detect levels of wholesomeness and spoilage
• Work in refrigerated processing and warehouse areas, which are cold and wet, with regular exposure to moving machinery and sharp surfaces
