MDU Growth Lead

Position Summary

The MDU Growth Lead is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing the Bay Area MDU Growth team in support of Sonic’s fiber sales initiatives within multi-dwelling unit (MDU) communities. This role combines frontline sales leadership with hands-on field execution, including canvassing, side-by-side selling, sales coaching, and performance accountability.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Bay Area MDU Growth team in achieving individual and team sales goals
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and field development for team members
• Conduct side-by-side selling and in-field observations to improve sales effectiveness and customer engagement
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement
• Support onboarding and training efforts for new hires and developing representatives

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Aptitudes

• Coach, motivate, and develop MDU Growth Representatives to maximize sales performance and career growth
• Conduct regular field observations, ride-alongs, and side-by-side selling sessions
• Drive performance accountability through goal setting, coaching, and follow-up
• Monitor individual and team sales metrics, productivity, and daily activity levels
• Provide timely reporting, sales updates, and field insights to the MDU Sales Market Manager
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, territory optimization, and sales growth
• Assist with escalations, account concerns, and field-related issues as needed
• Ensure team adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and brand standards
• Represent Sonic professionally and positively within the communities we serve

Work Environment

This role primarily operates outdoors in residential MDU communities throughout the Bay Area. Team members should be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and walking for extended periods while canvassing.

The employee is consistently required to stand; walk; move; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
