About the Role
This position involves ensuring appropriate reimbursement for patient care services and participating in the Patient Assessment Process through completion of MDS and Care Area Assessments (CAAs).
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing individualized patient care plans, identifying patient needs, and projecting outcomes in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Contribute to the interdisciplinary Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, adhering to guidelines for completion, encoding, and electronic transmission of MDS.
- Identify changes in patient condition, coordinate assessments, and support ongoing staff education, including Activities of Daily Living training.
- Attend educational programs to stay current with RAI and Prospective Payment System regulations.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in good standing.
- Experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals or long-term care facilities.
- Prior experience with MDS and Care Plan completion is required.
- Knowledge of rehabilitative, restorative nursing practices, and relevant laws and regulations.
