About the Role
This position involves ensuring appropriate reimbursement for patient care services and participating in the Patient Assessment Process, including completing the MDS and Care Area Assessments (CAAs). It includes developing individualized care plans, identifying patient needs, and adhering to federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the interdisciplinary Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, following guidelines for MDS completion and transmission.
- Identify changes in patient condition and coordinate assessments accordingly.
- Assist in training staff on Activities of Daily Living and maintain current knowledge of RAI/Prospective Payment System regulations.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing.
- Experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals or long-term care facilities.
- Prior experience with MDS and Care Plans is required.
- Knowledge of rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices, laws, and regulations governing long-term care.
