MDS Coordinator RN

About the Role

The MDS Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination and completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and the interdisciplinary care planning process while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI).
• Lead the interdisciplinary care planning process.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Develop plans of care consistent with resident needs.
• Lead and motivate teams to follow RAI processes accurately and timely.
• Promote communication and interdisciplinary approaches to resident care.
• Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, preferably BSN.
• Minimum of one year in nursing management in the long-term care industry.
• Two years of professional nursing experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative care, or geriatric nursing.
