MDS Coordinator Registered Nurse RN

About the role

Responsible for ensuring all appropriate nursing care and therapy services are delivered to maximize quality care and reimbursement. Reviews and coordinates reimbursement for Medicare and Managed Care patients. Ensures accuracy of all MDS, CAAs/HIPPS and care plans for all Medicare and non-Medicare residents. Will ensure timely completion and transmission of all MDS according to state and CMS regulation. Coordinates the updating of care plans as needed to reflect the level of care being delivered to the resident.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate nursing care and therapy services are delivered
• Review and coordinate reimbursement for Medicare and Managed Care patients
• Ensure accuracy of MDS, CAAs/HIPPS and care plans
• Timely completion and transmission of MDS according to state and CMS regulation
• Coordinate updating of care plans as needed

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN)
• One to two (1-2) years of MDS experience preferred
• PPS/HIPPS management experience preferred
• Successfully complete the competency assessment
• RAC-CT certification preferred
• Current license or eligibility for RN licensure in the State of Florida
