About the role
The Coordinator, MDS is responsible for overseeing and facilitating resident assessments in nursing facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements using tools like RAI. They collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Care Plan Team to develop comprehensive care plans, determine assessment dates, and ensure timely completion and certification of assessments.
Responsibilities
- Conducting resident/staff/family interviews
- Maintaining accurate reports
- Supporting facility needs related to the assessment process
Qualifications
- A current Registered Nurse license
- RAC-CT certification (or within one year)
- CPR certification
- 2-3 years of healthcare experience, preferably in long-term care
Skills
- Strong communication
- Computer proficiency
- Knowledge of regulatory policies
Physical Requirements
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
Additional Responsibilities
May include supervising staff and assisting with resident care as needed.
