McWane Ductile New Jersey is an industry leader in manufacturing water distribution and infrastructure products, specializing in the casting of iron ductile pipes ranging from 3" to 24" in diameter.

About the role

Maintenance Millwright coordinates, participates, assists, constructs, fabricates, installs, repairs and maintains production and operational equipment, including machines with hydraulic and pneumatic controls, to ensure efficient operation and production of ductile iron pipe.

Responsibilities

  • Identify mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems malfunctions.
  • Understand the correct handling and use of mechanical repair tools and equipment.
  • Make repairs and rebuild all equipment throughout the plant.
  • Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Dismantle machines.
  • Move machinery and equipment.
  • Assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and rails.
  • Construct foundations for machines.
  • Align machines and equipment.
  • Assemble machines, and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Three to five years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both.
  • Ability to read schematics and in-depth knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Must be able to interact with all personnel levels in a professional, supportive manner.
  • Ability to read policies and procedures and follow all work directives and safety procedures.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter.

Pay

Pay rate between $32.04 to $39.43 per hour, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
