MCPP - Mobile Load Specialist
Program Summary: The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
About the role
Performs functions that relate to the receipt, storage, inventory, care, location, issue, movement, and loading of equipment, supplies and publications; includes collateral clerical duties associated. Includes the use of automated systems (both hardware and software) and equipment related to the accomplishment of the above tasks. Will include other manual tasks as directed. Performs other tasks as reasonably assigned.
Responsibilities
- Apply detailed technical data from provided technical data systems in the care and storage program.
- Develop storage space requirements considering material, weight, cube, and clearance within various categories of supply.
- Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklifts and tractors, as well as bulk and small parts conveyor systems used in warehousing operations.
- Connect, disconnect, and tow tactical trailers.
- Comply with all established methods, safety standards, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Two years of related experience.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License.
- Able to obtain and maintain a Tactical Operator License to operate all Motor Transport vehicles and all Engineer tactical forklifts as necessary.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access.
