About the role
We are looking for a passionate individual to lead our Mobile Service program as a Mobile Service Business Consultant & Performance Coach. This is not a traditional automotive role—you are a consultant, a sales coach, and a hands-on trainer combined. You will work with dealership owners to embrace the future of automotive service, coach their management teams on profitability, and demonstrate procedures in our mobile units to train technicians.
The role is divided into three key areas:
- 50% Business Growth & Sales: Consulting with Dealer Principals and Service Managers to sell the vision, overcome objections, and build a profitable business model.
- 25% Change Management: Implementing new processes, analyzing KPIs, and fixing broken dealership processes.
- 25% Hands-On Technical Training: Demonstrating procedures and training technicians in the field using Mobile Units.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Mobile Service implementation, sales, operations, and workflow process mapping.
- Deliver technical and non-technical training at dealerships, within the assigned territory, and virtually. Training topics include:
- New Mobile Service (MS) unit launch support
- MS unit discovery and systems training
- Vehicle service and repair procedures
- MS demand generation
- Inspection-based sales and customer satisfaction initiatives
- Instruct Technicians on proper vehicle lifting procedures, oil extraction/oil change procedures, and vehicle checkup processes.
- Support and/or conduct non-technical training, including techniques for building rapport with customers, active listening, and professional sales training to improve customer experience and increase MS department revenue.
- Assist dealership management with the development and execution of go-to-market plans.
- Observe dealership process activity and provide root cause analysis, action planning, and training to improve performance with proven ROI strategies.
- Monitor all KPIs for dealerships within the territory and provide counsel to management to achieve sales targets.
- Ensure a robust parts stocking strategy to support MS operations, including developing parts stocking plans for planned repairs and additional service opportunities.
- Assist in recruiting and retaining MS Technicians and Coordinators.
Requirements
- Passionate, resilient, and persuasive with the ability to engage and share best practices at every level of the dealership.
- High School diploma (bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of customer-facing experience in the automotive industry.
- Wide-ranging background in the automotive industry with corporate and retail knowledge.
- Knowledge of automotive service tools and equipment.
- Ability to train Technicians on Mobile Service tools and equipment.
- Understanding of basic automotive systems to effectively communicate with technicians and Coordinators.
- Knowledge of the Automotive Service Sales Process and Techniques.
- Ability to deliver sales training to MS Coordinators and Advisors.
- Rich experience in automotive training and facilitation.
- Knowledge of automotive parts operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven record of accomplishment in program leadership.
- Strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry, with service in an aftermarket or dealership environment as a plus.
- Retail automotive experience.
- Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to command a room of 20 people or engage in a 1-on-1 meeting with an owner.

Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding field role requiring you to demonstrate and train Mobile Service Van repair processes and procedures. Responsibilities include:
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and crawling under vehicles or reaching into engine bays to observe and demonstrate procedures.
- Frequently moving parts, tools, and equipment often weighing 10-50 lbs during van discovery training.
- Working in outdoor environments with varied temperatures and inclement weather alongside technicians.
- Ability to travel 80% of the time (both driving and flying).
