About the role
Groundman responsible for landscape and maintenance of the Maverick Casino & Hotel Elko property using hand or power tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, watering, fertilizing, digging, and raking
- Repair and maintain sprinkler systems
- Mow lawns using push or riding lawn mowers
- Pull weeds, trim small trees and bushes, and perform other landscaping tasks as needed
- Pressure wash trash cans, sidewalks, trash compactors, and other areas
- Sweep parking lots with brooms, sweepers, and/or blowers
- Remove snow from walkways and parking lots during winter
- Maintain clean and presentable exterior grounds for all Elko properties
- Empty exterior trash cans, dog bag stations, and ashtrays
- Paint parking lot lines and perform other outdoor and grounds-related tasks
- Perform facilities maintenance-related tasks as required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license
- Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions
- Weekend availability and possible overtime required

Pay
$15 per hour
Schedule
Day shift with weekend availability and possible overtime.
Dress attire is a provided uniform.
