Restaurant Lead Server - Maverick Casino & Hotel Elko

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at their table, describe specials, take guest orders, input into computer, and serve the guest.
• Clean tables after completion of meal and reset table for next party.
• Help with inventory, training, and other procedures to maintain standards.

Requirements

• Six months to one year experience as a food server in a high volume full service restaurant.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Upbeat and positive personality, patient and warm demeanor.
• Must be a team player with the desire to assist all co-workers.
• Quick learner.
• The ability to carry trays with food or dishes that can weigh 10 to 20 pounds and carry it with one hand in the upright position, balanced on one shoulder for approximately 20 to 30 feet.
• Maintain a clean uniform and personal appearance.
• Must be punctual and reliable attendance.
• Must adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to pass an online class for Safe Serve Food Handler’s card.
• Ability to write and speak fluent English.
• Legible handwriting.
• Able to use simple math.

• Responsible for maintaining the personal hygiene standards set down by the Food and Beverage Director.
• Responsible for keeping work station and floor stations as clean as possible at all times.
• Training new team members—Servers, Hosts, and Bussers.
• Keeping Cleaning Logs and upholding sanitizing processes.
• Reviewing and adjusting schedules as needed, requesting staff be called in with F&B Manager approval.
• Keeping accurate inventory and requesting orders for FOH needs (paper products, bottled sauces, etc).
• Expediting and assisting servers as Lead during Rush.
• Implementing and upholding Pre-Shift for PM staff.
• Upholding team members to Company Policy, bringing disciplinary actions to F&B Manager for follow up.
• Managing the flow of the Restaurant to make sure each guest gets the proper service.

Skills
