About the role
We're seeking Mathematics Researchers with graduate-level credentials to contribute to the development of advanced AI models. This role is fully remote and flexible.
Responsibilities
- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance
- Design complex problem statements drawing on expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related fields
- Evaluate the mathematical reasoning and outputs of AI models for rigor, accuracy, and depth
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to identify gaps and improve model performance
- Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of mathematical clarity, precision, and correctness
Requirements
- Holder of a Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- Deeply proficient in one or more of: algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics
- Experienced with Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research or technical projects
- A clear, precise communicator — able to articulate complex ideas in writing with accuracy and care
- Self-directed and reliable when working independently on structured tasks
- Based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
Qualifications
- Nice to have: Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in applied mathematics, mathematical modeling, or computational research
- Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts at a technical level
- Experience writing or reviewing academic mathematical content
