About the role
We're seeking Mathematics Researchers with graduate-level credentials to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your work will directly influence how AI systems tackle problems in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance
- Apply your expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related fields to design challenging and meaningful problem sets
- Evaluate AI-generated mathematical reasoning for correctness, depth, and rigor
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to strengthen model performance
- Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of mathematical clarity, precision, and depth
- Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in one or more of: algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics
- Experienced coding in Python, MATLAB, or Mathematica for research or applied projects
- Exceptionally detail-oriented — you catch errors others miss and hold your work to a high standard
- Strong written communicator who can explain complex mathematical concepts with clarity
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently without close supervision
Qualifications
- Nice to have: Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation systems
- Background in applied mathematics, mathematical modelling, or computational research
- Familiarity with AI tools, language models, or machine learning concepts
- Experience reviewing or grading advanced mathematical work in academic settings
