About the role

This is a .4 FTE continuing contract position for a Secondary Mathematics Teacher at Edmonds eLearning Academy, beginning with the 2026-27 school year. Edmonds eLearning Academy is a comprehensive online, asynchronous, alternative learning experience high school serving full-time and shared students in the Edmonds School District. We offer both virtual and in-person learning support. Our school provides rolling enrollment in initial credit courses as well as credit recovery courses. Work hours for this position include both on-site and remote components.

The role requires proficiency with the following technology systems: Skyward Qmlativ and Maestro (student information systems), Edgenuity (curriculum software), Zoom (virtual meetings), Jabber (remote phone access), Google Suite (academic tools), and YouCanBookMe (appointment scheduling).

Preference will be given to candidates with an ELL, ESOL, or Bilingual endorsement. SIOP and GLAD training, offered by the Multilingual Education Department, will be required for all new employees unless prior completion can be demonstrated. Training must be completed within the first two years of employment.

Requirements

  • Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Mathematics endorsement or the ability to obtain one prior to the position start date.

Pay

2025-26 Salary Schedule Range: $83,305 through $148,226 (2026-27 Salary Schedule not yet finalized). Placement on this salary schedule is determined by FTE and official documentation verifying Educational Level and Certificated Work Experience. Salary will be prorated for less than a full year and/or FTE.

Benefits

The benefits package includes Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package for eligible positions.

  • Health Insurance Eligibility: Based on compensation of at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31). A .5 FTE continuing contract position meets this threshold for the 2026-27 school year. Eligibility for non-continuing contract positions is determined at hire.
  • Retirement Eligibility: Based on working at least 70 hours per month for 5 months during the school year. A .6 FTE (continuing or non-continuing) meets this threshold for the 2026-27 school year.
