Math Interventionist

Position Summary

The Academic Interventionist supports students in developing essential Math skills through targeted instruction and intervention. This educator works closely with students who are struggling with math, providing personalized strategies, resources, and support.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze academic data to assess students' math abilities and identify those in need of additional support
• Design and implement tiered intervention programs tailored to individual student needs
• Develop and provide targeted, differentiated instruction in one-on-one and small group settings
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and families to support student achievement
• Communicate regularly/daily with teachers and parents to provide updates on progress

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as an Academic Interventionist or in a similar instructional role
• Deep understanding of effective math strategies and intervention programs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Master's degree in Education
• Valid teaching certification required; math or special education certification preferred
