The math interventionist plays a crucial role in the instructional support team, focusing on accelerating student learning in mathematics through targeted interventions.
- Analyzes student data and monitors progress to inform instructional decisions
- Assists with the administration and review of district assessments
- Collaborates with teachers, instructional staff, and administrators to implement effective math practices
- Identifies professional learning needs based on data trends
- Dedicates most of their time to planning and providing strategic, data-driven instruction in small groups
This position requires a valid PA teaching certificate in Elementary Education with a special interest in mathematics, along with knowledge and understanding of best instructional practices, and the ability to engage students actively in the learning process. Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and computer skills are also essential. A preference for working in an urban school district is noted.
