Math and Science Tutors (In-Person) - LA | West LA, Santa Monica, Studio City, Sherman Oaks

About the role

The Ladder Method is a boutique academic coaching company serving families across Los Angeles. We focus on both academic excellence and long-term student growth, providing highly personalized, in-person support.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students in subjects including Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, Trigonometry, Calculus AB and/or BC, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy, Geology, Physiology, Psychology.
• Work with high-net-worth families to provide professional, personalized academic support.
• Ensure students develop effective learning strategies and habits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Strong academic background in Math, Physics, Chemistry, or related fields.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience required.
• Experience working with high-net-worth families strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with LA independent schools highly desired.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, polished, and highly reliable.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Available for weekday afternoons/evenings and at least one weekend day (preferably Sunday).
• Available for approximately 10–15 hours per week.

$40-65 per hour (based on experience and education).

Schedule
