Math and Science Tutors (In-Person) - West LA

About the role

The Ladder Method is a boutique academic coaching company based in West LA, serving families across Los Angeles. We focus on academic excellence and long-term student growth, providing personalized, in-person support.

Responsibilities

• Teach students how to learn and thrive in subjects such as Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, Trigonometry, Calculus AB and/or BC, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy, Geology, Physiology, Psychology, and more.
• Work with high-net-worth families in West LA, including Santa Monica, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Venice, Marina del Rey.
• Provide in-person support in various subjects and locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Strong academic background in Math, Physics, Chemistry, or related fields.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience required.
• Experience working with high-net-worth families strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with LA independent schools highly desired.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, polished, and highly reliable.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Available for weekday afternoons/evenings and at least one weekend day (preferably Sunday).
• Available for approximately 10–15 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Math subjects including Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, Trigonometry, Calculus AB and/or BC, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy, Geology, Physiology, Psychology.

Pay

$40-65 per hour (based on experience and education).

Schedule
