About the Role

The Inventory & Purchasing Processor coordinates and performs functions related to the acquisition, tracking, storage, and handling of tools, equipment, and materials for the Enterprise Physical Operations - Danforth department and monitors financial accounts within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all duties associated with the procurement of parts and materials, including tracking, storage, delivery, pickup, and physical receiving.
  • Creates and approves transactions in the financial system including purchase orders, change orders, blanket orders, check requests, budget adjustments, IDs, and journals.
  • Communicates and coordinates with customers, project stakeholders, and departments, relaying and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Monitors account balances for funds and communicates account balances with managers as needed.
  • Serves as department liaison regarding procurement processes and policies.
  • Conducts inventory spot checks and tool inventories.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Heavy equipment (buffers, mowers, forklift, etc.).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
  • Purchasing/Warehouse/Inventory Control experience (1 year).
  • A Class E (MO) or Class D (IL) driver’s license and a good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience processing financial transactions in fund accounting in a professional environment.
  • Ability to anticipate issues.
  • Skills in communication, critical thinking, customer empathy, customer interactions, customer service, interpersonal interactions, liaison communications, needs assessment, oral communications, proactive behavior, professional standards, relationship building, tactfulness, and written communication.

Pay

Salary Range: $19.29 - $29.91 / Hourly
