MATERIALS MANAGER

Job Summary

Responsible for the materials planning and procurement. Coordinates primary material requirements with sales, production and purchasing departments. Maintains inventory control. Determines reorder points. Prepares shipping plan and coordinates receipt of materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate records.
• Takes timely action to address attendance, performance and other personnel issues within the department.
• Responsible for conducting performance appraisals.
• Recommend training to upgrade skills for department personnel.
• Supports the succession planning initiatives by hiring and developing top-talent.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor degree or experience in related field.
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Seven (7) years experience in materials, purchasing or supply chain management.
