About the Role
With minimal supervision, follows specific procedures and detailed instructions to distribute supplies, tools, and equipment. Adheres to established governmental regulations, organizational guidelines, company policies, and procedures while performing job responsibilities. Prepares purchase request documents to meet compliance requirements for procurement and updates and maintains databases for work orders and inventory control. Uses specialized software to generate purchase requests and coordinates professionally with required approvers. This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Responsibilities
- Research and complete supply requests in a timely manner.
- Accurately and timely receive, record, and deliver incoming shipments; ship out orders and returns.
- Acquire and record information regarding the status of supply transactions.
- Perform standard duties associated with storage areas and inventory systems, including receiving, issuing, labeling, maintaining approved supply levels, and shelving supplies.
- Perform duties associated with property control.
- Monitor and ensure Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) compliance when applicable.
- Perform other duties as required to complete the assigned mission.
Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Material Management Specialist I or at least 4 years of Materials Management Support OR 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Must be proficient with Windows and MS Office (Word and Excel).
- Must have demonstrated data entry experience.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical, and periodic retests.
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for assigned work tasks.
- Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions, including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Must meet physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license without special restrictions.
- Must have dependable transportation and a dependable means of communication.
- Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
- Must have a well-mannered customer service attitude.
- Must be willing to cross-train in other areas.
- Must use “down-time” effectively to benefit test, self, and company.
- Must be punctual, responsible, and dependable.
- Must demonstrate motivation, initiative, and reliability.
- Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.

- Must have a demonstrated ability to perform duties with a high level of attention to detail.
- Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain it for the duration of employment.
- Must be a current TRAX employee or affiliate subcontractor for internal postings.
Skills
- Proficiency with Windows and MS Office (Word and Excel).

- Ability to learn and use specialized software applications.
Pay
$31.95 per hour
