About the Role
Performs manual and clerical duties related to receiving, inspecting, and stocking materials for the Veterinary Teaching Hospital warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Receives all deliveries to VMC and checks for accuracy/discrepancies against purchase orders.
- Stocks inventory shelves by the appropriate hospital inventory numbers.
- Pulls inventory for various departments within the teaching hospital.
- Assists as needed with the stocking of hospital Cubex machines.
- Performs data entry in the hospital VetView system.
- Sorts all incoming mail for the Vet Med Center, which includes all departments housed on this campus.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer and arithmetic skills.
- Skills in operating automotive, materials handling, and office equipment.
- Detail-oriented, observant, and safety conscious.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a warehouse setting utilizing hand truck, pallet jack, and maintaining inventory counts.
Physical Demands
- Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day on hard floor surfaces.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to accurately work with small, delicate pieces of equipment or large heavy objects/containers/machinery.
- Work for long periods of time with arms extended.
- Driving to perform job-related duties.
Pay & Schedule
- Advertised salary: $16.92–$18 per hour.
- Business hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm.
