About the Role
This position is responsible for ensuring that customer supplies are accurately and efficiently processed and delivered to satisfactorily meet the customer need in a safe manner.
Responsibilities
- Designing, establishing, and managing assigned PAR locations; includes counting, monitoring, and adjusting PAR levels and reorder information.
- Maintain constant and effective communication with assigned units to understand supply needs based on current and future patient population.
- Effectively use supply information systems technology to proactively identify potential problems in the PAR locations.
- Receiving, stocking, picking, and delivering supplies.
- Serving as the department’s Customer Service representative.
- Providing and/or assisting with the training of coworkers and volunteers.
- Demonstrating a positive attitude and leadership at all times.
- Supporting and participating in efforts to successfully implement supply chain changes to improve processes and reduce costs.
- Knowing and following all Baptist Health and government policies and regulations.
- Cross-training on all departmental duties; providing needed back-up coverage.
- Completing special projects and updated assignments as needed.
Schedule
9:30 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekend 24-hour call.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in Supply Chain preferred; relevant healthcare experience preferred.
- Willingness to attend needed education and training required to successfully fulfill job duties.
- Ability to pass required system competency tests.
