MATERIALS HANDLER
About the Role
You will serve as a Materials Handler for NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties with the ability to work under more than normal supervision (screen-out element for this position).
- Apply knowledge of supply regulations, manuals, policies, procedures, and supply distribution management concepts.
- Utilize Military Standard Requisition and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP) and Security Cooperation Management Systems (SCMS).
- Read and interpret instructions and supply documents.
- Operate Material Handling Equipment.
- Follow Demilitarization (DEMIL) procedures and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling procedures.
- Handle material, complete equipment items, technical components, parts, and commodities.
- Work on your own initiative under general supervision, subject to occasional inspection.
Requirements
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required, you must demonstrate through experience and training that you possess the necessary knowledge and skill to perform the duties of the position. Emphasis is on the quality of experience, not its duration.
Your qualifications will be evaluated based on your level of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies in the job elements, particularly the screen-out element: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on this element will be deemed ineligible.
