Specific Responsibilities
- Execute the Operations change management process to ensure smooth transitions for changes and new part implementations within the plant.
- Cookordination Engineering BOM and routing updates to guarantee accurate material usage and accountability.
- Review and execute all PLM change tasks in alignment with business turnaround objectives.
- Validate information documents for data accuracy and confirm that requested changes are clearly defined and actionable.
- Analyze Material Requirements Planning (MRP) data to develop and maintain accurate schedules for all assigned component parts.
- This includes generating and managing purchase orders and production work orders to ensure timely availability of materials and alignment with manufacturing needs.
- Manage rescheduling of part orders based on planning exceptions and evolving requirements.
- Take proactive measures to expedite or de-expedite parts and raw materials, adjusting for capacity restrictions or load constraints.
- Communicate part flow status and any delays against due dates.
- Establish and maintain order policies, stocking levels, and kanban systems for parts.
- Continuously monitor and adjust to meet changing needs and demands.
- Maintain and control SAP master data to ensure integrity and accuracy of individual component records.
- Investigate and resolve blocked invoices caused by quantity discrepancies.
- Foster collaboration with manufacturing, suppliers, and buyers to reduce lead times and minimum order quantities.
- Develop and maintain inventory strategies that support on-time delivery under pull systems.
- Participate in and lead special projects as assigned, driving results and supporting organizational goals.
- Frequent contact with Purchasing, Assembly Scheduling, Engineering and external vendors.
- Moderate contact with Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering and Service Parts.
- Minimal contact with Manufacturing Supervisors.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a supply chain/logistics or purchasing environment.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated continuous improvement, mathematical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong characteristics in the area of initiative, attitude, assertiveness, and sense of urgency.
- Experience in inventory management, ERP/MRP and Kanban systems preferred.
