About the Role
The PC&L Associate is responsible for loading and unloading materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and trailers in a fast-paced environment. This role involves operating equipment, managing material flow, and ensuring accurate system transactions.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate all certified equipment, including:
- Sit-down forklifts
- Stand-up lifts (reach and pacer)
- Tuggers
- Electric jacks
- Read and follow work instructions, oral instructions, and material flow requirements.
- Manually load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves.
- Accurately and timely enter materials transactional information into SAP and other systems.
- Read electronic and manual bills of materials, pull sheets, and pick sheets to retrieve and deliver necessary materials.
- Support 5S and housekeeping activities.
- Use deviation areas and hold tags to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedures.
- Load and unload materials into trailers while adhering to dock safety protocols.
- Meet physical logistics KPIs, including associate engagement and teamwork.
- Adhere to FIFO (First In, First Out) standards in all storage areas and material flow points.
- Wear all required PPE and follow box-cutting safety protocols.
Requirements
- Stand for long periods, including during operation of stand-up lifts.
- Lift up to 35 lbs repetitively at shoulder height.
- Step up and down from lifts and walk long distances over extended periods.
- Work in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment.
- Perform repetitive motion activities, including box cutting, standing, lifting, and loading/unloading carts.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 months of powered industrial truck experience required.
- Active forklift certification preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced industrial lean environment preferred.
